Stuffed Mushrooms with Thyme

Stuffed mushrooms are great appetizer, starter or a side dish. Easy to prepare and delicious.


  • 10 medium size white or cremini mushrooms, cored and wiped
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • ½ yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp. capers
  • Few sprigs thyme
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, jalapeno


  1. Preheat the oven to 375.
  2. Saute onions for about 2 minutes until they are translucent, add garlic, carrots, celery and cook for about 3 more minutes.
  3. Add veggie mixture, thyme and capers to the ground pork, season with salt, pepper, jalapeno, mix well and stuff the mushrooms.
  4. Place in the oven for about 25 min, garnish with the fresh thyme leaves.
