Cornish hen in white wine is a delicious and flavorful dish, that just melts in your mouth. I made this recipe for the first time and finished the whole dish by myself. Well, it’s not so hard to eat one little Cornish hen, especially when it’s so good. Because they can cook really fast, this dish can be ready in 45 minutes.
1 Cornish hen, cut into pieces
2 cups of white wine
1 medium sized tomato, chopped
1 medium sized yellow onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh mint for garnish
Melt the butter in the saucepan and place the chicken pieces, brown them on a medium fire, from both sides.
Add the onion and cover the pot, reduce the heat and let the onions sweat for 5 minutes.
Add the wine and simmer for about 15 minutes, add tomatoes and simmer 5 more minutes.
